Basketball’s Brady Adams and Hailey Tarbox named Spartan Athletes of the Week

In the fourth installment of this newly appointed series, Basketball’s Brady Adams and Hailey Tarbox have been named by The Spartan Times and Sanford Athletics as “Athletes of the Week” for their performances Jan. 22-27.

Adams, a junior on the team, has proved strength and consistency on the court. In the games against Scarborough and Gorham, he averaged nearly 60% in field goals and three-pointers. He put up 15 points in both games.
“Brady had a great week against two of the best teams we have played this year and helped us to a great win over Scarborough,” said Coach Mills. “His ability to score at all three levels makes him a tough player to defend.”
Tarbox, a senior captain, contributes defensively each game and keeps the energy level high on the court. In three games, she averaged just over 55% in field goals and hit 50% of her three-pointers.

“She is the ultimate role player where she is the leader of my defense,” said Coach Kearson. “She is a captain who leads with her heart, soul, and guts. In a recent loss to Thornton Academy, Hailey was out there sick giving everything she had until the tank was empty. Because to her this team is her family and she never wants to let the family down..”
Congratulations to our Spartan Athletes of the Week!
