Boys Basketball
The boys fell to Deering 65-53 in a home playoff game on Thursday, Feb. 15. Dylan Gendron led the Spartans with 19 points. Tanner McCann added 10 and Makai Bougie and Brady Adams both added 9. The team finished the season 9-10.
Girls Basketball
The team defeated Thornton Academy with a thrilling 63-59 victory on Thursday, Feb. 15. Julissa McBarron led the team with 21 points, followed by Paige Sevigny with 18.
They played first-seeded Gorham at the Civic Center on Wednesday, February 21, falling to the Rams 52-34. The Spartans were led by Paige Sevigny with 10 points and McBarron added 8. They finished the season 13-7.
Cheerleading
The cheer team placed first in their division at the Cheers from the Heart Competition, held at Sanford on Saturday, Feb. 17. They dedicated their routine to the late Chace Fromwiller, a Sanford student who lost his battle to a rare brain cancer this school year.
Indoor Track
The Indoor Track team competed in the State Championship on Monday, Feb. 19. Tucker Walker took first in the shot put, shattering his own personal record and school record with a throw of 53’10”.

- Ryhlen Avery placed 7th in the 55m Dash
- Mason Van Gieson scored 7th in the Pole Vault
Tucker Walker will compete next in the New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Massachusetts.
Wrestling
The Spartans competed in the individual State Wrestling meet on Saturday, February 17.
James Chaplick placed second in the 138 weight class. He also placed 2nd at the All-State tournament and qualified for New Englands.


On the girls’ side, freshman All-State wrestler Cassidy Kenyon took fourth going 2-2, with two pins.
Additionally, Mason Van Gieson earned his 100th career win.
