SANFORD, Maine – On Tuesday, May 21, JMG held its closing ceremony for students to be recognized at the Sanford High School Performing Arts Center.
JMG is a nonprofit organization that promotes workforce development skills. The students of JMG learn more about what the workforce can offer them.
The ceremony is held to celebrate the student’s hard work and success throughout the year.
Senior Valerie Randall gave a speech at the ceremony recognizing her classmates, her teacher, and her success with the class.
Randall says, “JMG is unlike any other program and the students are lucky to have it. I know JMG can truly help anyone in a positive way because I see what it has done for me.”
The main curriculum of JMG is researching careers they would be interested in, and figuring out what they want life after high school to look like.
JMG students also participate in community service projects. This year they help with Special Olympic Bowling.
JMG also gives students who are not a part of the program a chance to learn and do career research.
