Things to do this fall in the York County area

Autumn is arguably one of Maine’s best seasons, not just for fall foliage but also for the fun fall activities. Here is a round up of things to do this fall based on their websites.
McDougal Orchards

Located in Springvale Maine, the hours of this year are Monday through Wednesday Saturday and Sunday is 9am-5pm, Thursday through Friday is 9am-6pm. This year’s golden hour will be held on Thursday and Friday that may go past 6pm.
McDougal Orchard does not require reservations. This year’s price for apples is $2.25Ib but if you bring your own reusable bag you get 10 cents off each pound, only when picking apples. Peaches and plums are $3.00In,raspberries are $7.00Ib, and flowers are $15/cup.

Levigne’s Strawberry Farm
Located in Sanford Maine, Levigne’s is open dawn to dusk, and is cash only. There are pumpkins for sale the prices will be dependent on the size, a large will be $8 each, medium will be $5 each and for smaller ones they will be $4 each or get 3 for $10.
Spillers Farm
Located in Wells Maine, Spillers is open Monday through Friday 1-5pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. They prefer cash but take both card and cash. Pets are not allowed in or near the orchards and gardens.
They also host a U PICK on weekdays 1-5 pm and on weekends 10am-5pm. U PICK apples you may bring your own bag and pay $1.49Ib. Goats and baby cows and calves can be seen behind and near the store pond.
Giles Family Farm
Located in Alfred Maine, Giles Family Farm‘s hours this season on weekdays 8 am-5pm on weekends 9am-6pm. Come and decorate your house for fall with mums, pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, and straw.
Haunted Grandview Manor
Located in Lebanon Maine, the Manor is open and tickets are on sale now for October 2024 Haunt season. Tickets are sold online and at the ticket booth onsite but strongly encouraged to buy tickets online as they sell out quickly.
Full scare tickets $25 which are orange and red nights. All ages no scare night and day walk tickets are $10 which are green nights and days. Ticket booth opens 15 minutes prior to opening time so if you didn’t get your tickets online they highly encourage you to get there early.
