Maine’s American Idol favorite will take the stage of the Performing Arts Center on Jan. 18

SANFORD — Maine’s favorite American Idol finalist, Julia Gagnon, will be performing live on the Sanford Performing Arts Center stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

Tickets are $30-$44, with discounts for seniors, students, military veterans and season subscribers. Call the box office at (207) 206-1126, visit sanfordpac.org or visit in person Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.-noon.

After winning first place in Central Maine Idol in summer 2023, Julia auditioned for American Idol, where Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan gave her three emphatic “yeses” and one of only three platinum tickets, sending her straight to Hollywood. Over a month of knockout performances on international television led her to be one of only seven remaining contestants, with the entire state of Maine cheering her on.

Now a college student at the University of Southern Maine, Julia skillfully balances her studies with a rapidly growing music career. With a powerful voice and magnetic presence, Julia has risen from local talent to national acclaim, highlighting her remarkable skill and
determination.
