Lacrosse’s Sadie Sevigny and Baseball’s Ryan Alexander named Spartan Athletes of the Week

Lacrosse’s Sadie Sevigny and Ryan Alexander were named by The Spartan Times and Sanford Athletics as “Athletes of the Week” for their performances in the week of April 28 – May 2.
Sadie Sevigny, a senior, had back-to-back notable performances. In the Spartans’ recent win against Bonny Eagle, Sevigny scored a hat-trick. In their next game, Sevigny paced the Spartans with five goals, and Sanford picked up another win.
“Sadie has had a tremendous start to the season and is making an immediate impact on our offense,” said Coach Foley. “She’s playing with incredible confidence and focus, and I’m looking forward to seeing this momentum continue. Emmanuel Lacrosse is lucky to have her!”
Junior shortstop Ryan Alexander collected three hits in four at bats, helping propel the Spartans 12-2 over the Westbrook Blue Blazes. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings, and doubled in the sixth.
“Ryan is a key player in the middle infield who is like a vacuum out there,” said Coach Bernier.
