Options and resources in the Sanford area

SANFORD- Several businesses and organizations in the Sanford community are offering free meals this Thanksgiving season. Below is a list of some of these charitable resources.
The Sanford Food Pantry is open only to Sanford/Springvale residents from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays. It is located at 1204 Main St., and a photo ID is required.
In addition, The Salvation Army Food Pantry at 871 Main St is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for non-perishable items, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for produce, meat, bread and other baked goods. An ID is required. The Salvation Army website is here, and you can call them at (207) 324-3134 if needed.
St. George’s Episcopal Church at 3 Emerson St. regularly offers free community meals on its Facebook page. They also offer a “Little Free Pantry” where the public can take what they need. They can be contacted at (207) 324-9119.
The New Beginnings Christian Church offers a free community meal every Thursday at 5 p.m.. They’re located at 81 Grammar Road, and can be contacted at (207) 850-1122.
The Eatery at Cruisin Infusions is offering a free Thanksgiving meal to those who reserve their meals in advance. The meal will be provided on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.. Those interested can email info@cruisininfusions.com or gottabefrank44@gmail.com.
