Sanford High School’s upcoming Unified basketball season is starting this week, Dec. 1, with practices and games coming soon in January through the beginning of March. The team has a lot of returning players this year and is coached by Mrs. Boissonneault.
Sanford has brought Unified basketball to the community, with a full season, since 2019. This sport gives kids the opportunity to develop as athletes and in friendship between the players and their partners.
This team has a lot of returning players including; Allie Kepner, Zach Wing, Maddie Clarrage, Amalia Fajardo, Gabby Favolise, Matty Hebert and Andrew Boissonneault.
Coach Boissonneault mentioned some of her favorite things about Sanford’s unified program. “I love watching the athletes develop and more than that I love watching the friendships that develop between the athletes and partners. Last but certainly not least, I love watching the pride on the athletes faces when something exciting happens, or plays defense for the first time…”
Make sure you bring some excitement to the Sanford communities unified sports and athletes. Game schedule will be released soon.
