The Sanford community can donate to both students; all proceeds go to Shriners Children’s Hospital

SANFORD- Brady Boissonneault and Harlow Noble will be participating in the 36th Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic, hosted at Lewiston High School. Harlow will be a main base and a key component in tumbling, while Brady will play tight end for the West team.
Being a part of this experience is an honor, as over 60 schools participate each year from the state of Maine. Individuals have to be nominated by coaches across the state and then are selected by the coaching staff of the Lobster Bowl.
This experience is especially meaningful to Harlow because she has not been able to compete due to injuries multiple times in past seasons. During the 25-26 winter season, she broke her hand before being able to compete at all. She explains that “This being, like my last chance to really be able to do what I love and give it my all is something that’s really exciting for me.”
On the other hand, Brady is eager to play “some of the best players in the state”. He will be playing football in college, so this is not his last time stepping onto the field, but he instead wants to highlight the bigger picture, as all proceeds go to “…people who need the help,” making the Lobster Bowl more than just a game.
Donating any amount to Brady and Harlow with their respective links will allow children at the Shriners Children’s Hospital to pay for treatment even if their families can’t afford it. Brady’s goal is to raise “$1500 to support children of all ages in need…” This is not a maximum, and both would appreciate it if you gave anything you can. The overall goal of the event is to raise $300,000 for the hospital, making it the top football game fundraiser in the country.
To attend, you can purchase tickets on the Lobster Bowl website, where you can also donate to the cause. Tickets are $20, and the event is scheduled to take place on July 18, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
