Sanford High School’s Peer Helpers Club is hosting its annual food drive for the tenth year. Sixty families with a child attending SHS are in need of warm, comforting food for this coming holiday and will be receiving a full Thanksgiving basket.
From November 13-17, all students are encouraged to bring their designated food to their Spartan Time locations.
The Peer Helpers, advised by Mrs. Letourneau and Mrs. Roy, are very excited for this year as it is almost double the amount of last year’s baskets.
“I think that it is important to help and give back to the community, and give SHS students an opportunity to help their peers,” Mrs. Letourneau said.
Whichever class contributes the most of their designated food (as seen below) will be awarded a pizza party.
Class of 2024 – Stuffing
Class of 2025 – Canned Veggies
Class of 2026 – Gravy + Cranberry Sauce
Class of 2027 – Instant Mashed Potatoes
The community is also encouraged to drop off canned and boxed goods or make donations.
