JMG hosted its fourth annual Special Olympics Bowling event at Bowl-A-Rama on Friday, Nov. 17.

This year’s turnout included 75 athletes ranging between the ages of 14-68 years old.  JMG had 20 students help put on the event by keeping score, cheering on the athletes, and helping them bowl.

JMG stands for Jobs for Maine Graduates which is a non-profit organization.  This non-profit organization is a program that helps students plan their future.  Many opportunities are also presented by the JMG members to the community, school and many more.  Some past things they have done are making blankets for sick children in the hospital, creating cards for elderlies, and taking part in Toys for Tots.

Active junior member Alissa Letourneau states, “JMG is a huge support system for so many students and on a personal level it has pushed me to achieve my goals and go a lot more in-depth with my future plans.”
