SANFORD, Maine – The Sanford High School National Honor Society is hosting drop-in auditions for the Spartan Showcase after school in the agora until 4 p.m., on Thursday, March 6., and Thursday, March 13. The Spartan Showcase will take place in April.
Online auditions will be held through Google Classroom.
Students can apply solo or as a group.
“Do you have a talent you would like to show off? A rare skill you haven’t had a chance to make known? Do you and a group of friends have a specialty hobby, such as music, sports tricks, or other?” said the National Honor Society.
Prizes will be awarded based on favorites picked by the audience and judges’ scores.
The Showcase is put on every year, with the focus of showcasing the different skills and talents of Sanford High School students. The National Honor Society encourages everyone to audition.
The Showcase is put on almost entirely by the NHS students. They reach out to sponsors, create plans for concessions, make scripts for the master’s of ceremonies, create the programs, and more!
“We’re excited to see you there!” said the National Honor Society.
For more information, email the NHS advisors Mrs. White (ewhite@sanford.org), Mrs. English (henglish@sanford.org), or the head of the audition committee, Savannah Knight (25savannahk@gapps.sanford.org).
