SANFORD- Next school year, the class of 2027 will be going to Europe during February break, with SHS parent and staff chaperones attending. It will be nine days long, and four countries will be visited, including Monaco, Italy, France, and Spain.
For those interested, the final meeting to sign up for the trip will be on April 8 during Spartan Time. It will be in the PAC, and all the information needed will be shared.
Sophie Olivio, a senior who went on the trip this year, said: “It was very busy, [we were] always on the go, but it was fun.” She explained that you find enjoyment in the most unexpected places, deeming walking around Amsterdam her favorite, even if it wasn’t a special excursion.
She recommends the trip to all the underclassmen, especially this year’s juniors, as the places they are going are rich in culture and they look “like a lot of fun”.
Incoming senior Kane Tierney believes the best part of the senior trip will be experiencing the culture of the countries they will visit. He is especially excited to go to Barcelona and urges other classmates to “… go because you only get an opportunity to travel once, so you might as well see the world.”
The best part is that you get to do the whole experience with your friends when you convince them to go with you! So start planning and packing your bags for the class of 2027 senior trip!
