Reminder: Juniors can purchase prom tickets starting this Monday, April 6

As a part of our “People of SHS” series we are sitting down with individuals who we think you should know for a variety of reasons. This week, we chose Junior class president Paige Sevigny who has been helping to plan prom among her other various responsibilities.
Paige Sevigny is an example of someone who invests a lot of time and effort into being a Spartan. The soon-to-be senior takes being involved seriously, listing varsity field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, as well as clubs like the student council, peer helpers, NHS, homecoming committee, and prom committee, on her resume of how she spends time here at SHS.
Most recently, as class president, she has been planning this year’s prom. She has prom committee meetings and class officer meetings, consistently organizing the event. She states,“ It is stressful, but it is all organized now, and I am very excited to attend this event.” Prom is May 2nd at 7 pm at Fosters Clam Bake. Senior tickets went on sale this week, and next Monday, Juniors can purchase their tickets at lunch for $55 a piece.
Extracurriculars and sports are not the only things she takes seriously. She takes AP classes and is always pushing herself academically. When asked, her favorite classes are Honors YCCC Pre-Calc and Honors Anatomy.
After high school, she wants to attend a four-year college and “major in pre-med or biology.” Eventually, she wants to attend medical school to become a doctor to help people in any way she can.
When asked to give underclassmen advice, Paige said, “to get involved with your school and community. By getting involved, you will meet so many friends. It is important to enjoy high school while it lasts, so learn, get involved, be kind to everyone, and have fun while you’re here.”
