The Sanford High School newspaper is starting a monthly creative writing spotlight for students

SANFORD – The Spartan Times will be launching The Muse on May 1. The new section of the paper will be a monthly section to highlight writers within Sanford High. The section will be run by Mrs. Roy, Ms. Raymond, Ms. Stanhope, Anna Held and Mathew Meyers. The Muse will accept submissions until April 24, with the goal of publishing them by the launch date.
The Muse will accept general creative writing projects, as well as monthly themed content. Initial submissions will start this month to tie in with National Poetry Month. Submissions are open to all students.
Submissions will be reviewed by the five–person panel before being selected and posted to the website on the established date. Anyone interested in submitting their project to be featured can submit a link through a Google Form that will be posted on the Spartan Times socials, the daily announcement emails, the bottom of this article and the Spartan Times website (spartan-times.org).
This month, the optional theme will be poetry, to tie in with National Poetry Month, held every April.
