The Sanford High School Bell Schedule is undergoing major changes for the 2026-27 school year. Here’s what you need to know to be prepared for the shifts.
The most impactful change in the schedule will be the transition from a five-block schedule to a four- block schedule. Each block will be eighty minutes long, and a fifth lunch will be added to the third block. This switch will allow for more instructional time and may reduce students’ homework loads due to fewer classes each day.
Spartan Time will take place after block three, but will remain thirty minutes long.
Wednesday early-release days will only occur during select weeks throughout the school year. On these days, students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm. First semester ERD days will be October 28 and December 2.
There will be four teacher workshop days added to the school year in order to make up for this. The first-semester teacher workshop days start with August 26-27 and October 9.
Study hall will not be available to any students during the 2026-27 school year. However, juniors and seniors may still add a late arrival or early dismissal to their schedule.
